扣接式鰭片（Zipper Fin）

Zipper fin is made by a progressive stamping. With zipper-fin, heat sink performance, production simplicity and effeciency, cost, appearance , ..etc are all improved greatly. Often seen examples are small fin for NB module (Fig. A)  and large fins for telecom(Fig. B) or high power LED high bay light ( Fig. C). Other than zipper-fin, base/clip/plate forming, pipe/fin riveting, base/fin swaging ,..etc are all made by stamping process.

In addition,  final footprint, shaping, or hole forming of extruded heat sink and die-casted heatsink are also often produced by    stamping(Fig. D). Therefore, stamping is an essential proecss for thermal solution.
